Photopoetryblog: Las nubes

Poem: "Deserción" by Oliverio Girondo [from his book Persuasión de los
días (1942)]

Photo: "Las nubes" by me

"Deserción"

Se fue el pasto,
el arroyo.
Se fueron los caballos.

Los árboles,
la casa,
los caminos se fueron.

La costa ya no estaba,
ni el mar,
ni la arena.

Me quedaron las nubes,
pero también partieron

[Translation (mine):
"Desertion"

The grass departed,
the stream.
The horses departed.

The trees,
the house,
the paths departed.

The shore is already not here,
neither the sea,
nor the sand.

I was left with the clouds,
but they too departed.

- as always, my apologies to the poet]

Great poem!!!!!! Girondo is awesome. I like the sort of carcel in the photo that prevents the viewer from following the clouds.

Thanks. The bars come from a playground set (a little backstory info to enhance the viewing experience (or not)).

You should enter your photography in a contest. Nice poem to go along with your art.
